Thirty-two guests enjoyed a vintage selection of Italian wines and sampled several cheeses, including Pecorino and Gorgonzola, along with Italian pasta chips and dips.
Maria Valpone, an ambassador for the charity, said, “It was great to see people enjoying themselves whilst supporting this incredible charity. Huge thanks to Nonna’s for hosting the event and especially to Pasquale at Nonna’s, who went out of his way to make everyone welcome. We raised £480 – enough to feed thirty-four children for a whole school year!”
Mary’s Meals can make a lasting difference to the lives of children in some of the world’s poorest countries. It costs just £13.90 to feed a child for a whole school year, so even the smallest amounts can have a huge impact.
