St Patrick’s Catholic Voluntary Academy formally opened the OASIS well-being centre in October.

Bishop Ralph blessed the setting, which aims to give children and adults the opportunity of quiet reflection and calmness in addition to stimulating the mind and exploring well-being at all levels.

Headteacher, Nuala Nelis, the children and staff greeted their visitors, who included many Catholic Heads of the Sheffield partnership, school Governors and members of the Local Authority.  Pupils lead a celebration assembly.  The children sang beautifully and Elizabeth and Ellis performed their own version of the “OASIS Rap”.

A reception was held afterwards and guests explored the OASIS and observed children using the facility.
