Members of the Union of Catholic Mothers of the Hallam Diocese recently met up for a Study Day in Sheffield. The topic of the day was based on Pope Francis’ apostolic exhortation Gaudate et Exsultate – On the Call to Holiness in Today’s World.
The day was led by Mrs Angie Higginson, Hallam Study Officer. Against the background of Pope Francis’s universal call to live holy lives with a fresh approach, we are all encouraged to strive for holiness in our normal every day experiences.
So it was that participants in the Study Day discussed their roles in the family, in friendships and in their professions. They considered how to make peace, where there was conflict in any area of their life.
Members were encouraged to reflect on their daily life with love and openness in order not only to draw closer to God, but also to bring others to Christ by their example.
