Peter and Lesley Brannan, parishioners of Holy Rood, Barnsley invited students from St Pius X, Wath-upon-Dearne and the McAuley School, Doncaster to join them for a meal at the Barnsley Circle September meeting of the Catenian Association.

The invitation was a gesture of heartfelt thanks to the students for all the help they provided as volunteers on the Hallam Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes.

John Slade, Head of Modern Languages at St Pius X, a fellow pilgrim and student, Jack Saunders, each gave a presentation to the Catenians.  They spoke about their memories of their visit to Lourdes.  They each valued the friendships made with other pilgrims from around the Diocese, and especially emphasised the deeply spiritual experience of the Lourdes Pilgrimage.
