On 28 September Rev Reg Davies’s Golden Jubilee Mass was celebrated at St Alban’s Church. The celebrants were Fr Desmond Edozie and Fr Romanus Ozuomba.
The service was very well attended, with members of the Davies family, parishioners and Church Wardens from All Saints Parish Church joining parishioners from St Alban’s Church.
Fr Desmond Edozie said, “For the past thirty years Mass has been celebrated in the Denaby and Cadeby Miners Memorial Chapel at All Saint’s Parish Church on the Spring Bank Holiday. This tradition was initiated jointly by Mgr Donal Bambury and Rev Reg Davies. We have always been made very welcome.
“Many families in our parish have valued the support, the care, the prayers and the humanity shown by Rev Reg when they faced difficult challenges, ill health or bereavement.
“Our Mass celebrated this important anniversary in the life of Christians locally and as a parish we expressed our sincere thanks to Rev Reg Davies for his support and commitment.”
