The loved and venerated statue of Our Lady of Walsingham has been visiting every Catholic Cathedral, including St Marie’s, Sheffield in October, 2018. Our Lady came with the mission to pray for the re-evangelisation and conversion of England.
Cardinal Nichols has described the Dowry Tour visitations as “a moment of great promise for the Church in England and for our mission”. This momentous Dowry Tour ends in Westminster Cathedral, 19-21 March, 2020.
On 29 March, the Rededication of England will present the personal gift of the faith of the people of England to the Mother of God and seek her prayers, loving care and protection for our country. The Rededication is a simple but powerful commitment to seek the will of God in our lives.
The promotion of the Dowry is there to help us to pass on to the next generation this ancient and profound trust in the Mother of God as she calls us today “to do whatever he tells you”.
Led by the Bishops’ Conference we call on Our Lady to guide and protect England in the years to come.
