At the Diocesan Union of Catholic Mothers meeting in October, members were treated to an inspiring talk and powerpoint illustration by Mr Vincent Donlan, a CAFOD volunteer, and his wife, Helen who is the Justice and Peace Commission Chair.

The topic was ‘Climate Change’ which affects the poorest and weakest most.  It was illustrated that there are many ways in which we can use less resources, starting in the home; by for example, saving energy and recycling.  We were also encouraged to pray for the care of the planet and all people of the world.

Mr Donlan was then presented with a cheque by Mrs Sheila Godley, the UCM Diocesan President; pictured above with Helen Donlan (right).
