St John Fisher Catholic Voluntary Academy will be throwing open its doors for an ‘Open Morning’ on Saturday, 22 November between 10am and 12pm so that members of the community and prospective parents/carers can come and find out more about this rapidly improving school.
St John Fisher Catholic Voluntary Academy was the 4th most improved primary school in Sheffield in terms of its results in 2013. This year it is amongst the very strongest performers of the 134 primary schools and academies in Sheffield.
The school has worked closely in partnership with the Diocese of Hallam to drive up standards and it has also benefitted from links with and support from the Sheffield Family of Catholic Schools and schools located in south-east Sheffield.
The community has also secured £385k to invest in developing and improving the buildings, and phase 2 of the works begins in late Autumn.
St John Fisher is a community that is definitely developing strongly following a challenging inspection in 2013. All the areas highlighted by Ofsted have now been addressed. There is an atmosphere of quality, optimism and excitement as St John Fisher Catholic Voluntary Academy looks confidently to the future.
Children are pictured enjoying their activities at the school.
Everyone is invited to go to the Open Morning.
