Holy Rood School, Barnsley celebrated the end of term with a presentation of “Cinderabba”.
Headteacher, John Gregson said, “The Y5/6 production of ‘Cinderabba’ was absolutely superb and wouldn’t have been out of place in London’s West End! The show was basically the story of Cinderella but set to the music of Abba and the whole thing came together brilliantly. The children did two shows for their family and friends and also raised £230 for the ‘Let The Children Live’ charity – a local charity that helps homeless street children in Columbia.
“These are the things that the children remember long after they have left Holy Rood School and we think it is so important that we give them opportunities to shine like this as everyone has a talent for something. For example, a child who may find Maths or English a challenge may come to life through drama and look like they have been born to be on the stage – and who knows, maybe they have!”
