Each year, usually in early September a small group from Carmel Care Centre in a shopaholic!

Other options are to take a bus to Bridlington, Scarborough or Beverley.  This year a group went by bus to Beverley to visit the awe inspiring Minster, parts of which date back to the 13th century.  They even served coffee in the Minster so the group spent a good couple of hours there inspired by such amazing architecture and many artistic treasures.

Everyone meets together at 6pm for the evening meal, home cooked by a couple of Carmel volunteers.  By this time people are all usually tired, hungry and happy and share tales of the day during the meal.  Most people retire then to the TV room to catch up on The Soaps.  For the more energetic there is a chance of a moonlit walk by the sea before bed and sleep.

The holiday lasts Monday to Friday and, towards the end of the week, the group gather to share what has been most enjoyed and to give thanks to God, the giver of all good gifts.

Some are already looking forward to Hornsea 2018!
