The Hallam Charity Night goes from strength to strength and this year £6,300 was raised and distributed between the following Charities: the SVP Furniture Store, Sheffield, Our Lady and St Thomas of Canterbury, Sheffield, Outreach Group and the Hallam (Bethlehem) Fund.

Over 140 people from across the Diocese and beyond attended the Dinner and Dance.  An enjoyable evening was had by all.  Some indication of the wide support for this event is evident in the result of the prize draw.

The magnificent first prize of £1000 was won by Dr John Gallagher of Wakefield.  Mrs Eileen Kerrigan of Doncaster won the second prize – a holiday in Austria.  The £250 third prize was won by Mrs Stockdale of Bradford.  The fourth prize of a case of wine went to Miss McGurk of Morpeth, while the fifth prize, a bottle of whiskey, was claimed by Elizabeth Maltby of Sheffield.

The Organising Committee wish to thank all who have supported the event by sponsorship, donations and/or attendance.
