Hallam Ascent Group for Christians in their Middle and Later Years

The Hallam Ascent Group was formed in the Summer of 2003 and although based at St Francis’ Parish, Sandygate, Sheffield, is open to all in and around the Hallam Diocese.

The group is aimed at those over fifty, retired or perhaps preparing to retire.  Both men and women are welcome.  The three strands of the group’s focus are the development of spirituality, mission and friendship.

Hallam Ascent meets once a month, usually on the first Wednesday of the month at 1.45-3.45pm.  There is a varied and interesting programme of events.

The monthly meetings begin in prayer, followed by discussion and end with tea.  There are also social gatherings including walks, pub lunches and games afternoons.

More details about the group are available on the website http://hallamascent.weebly.com.
