The annual Good Shepherd presentation to Bishop John took place on Tuesday, 20 May at Mother of God Church, Abbeydale Road, Sheffield.

Staff and pupils from twenty-six diocesan schools attended and presented generous cheques amounting to the magnificent sum of nearly £18,000, and we understand there is still more to come.

They had raised the money by organising activities including a ‘Teachers Got Talent’ contest, making and selling bracelets and sales of pancakes and cupcakes.

A reflection about the wisdom of flying geese made a great impact on adults and children alike.  This was enacted and read by the Chaplain and pupils from St Bernard’s High School.

A very sincere thank you to all those who made it such an enjoyable event, especially to those who served the six hundred biscuits and drinks in the Parish Centre afterwards!
