Holy Family Democracy Week sAs people throughout the country were voting in the General Election the children of Holy Family Catholic Primary School, Worksop were preparing their own democratic elections.

Each class created a manifesto for the school and presented it at their Friday assembly.  There was a vote, a count and an announcement on the same day!

It was a wonderful day to not only learn about Democracy and British values but to see democracy in action and how it works.

The winning party was the HFBW (Holy Family Best in Worksop party) and Year 4 were extremely proud of themselves.  They will now meet with the Head Teacher, Mrs Kane, every week to ensure they work towards their manifesto.  Let’s hope they keep their promises!
