On Sunday, 29 May Sheffield city centre saw the traditional Corpus Christi Procession celebrating the Feast of the Body of Christ.
The walk began at St Marie’s Cathedral and stopped at various stages along the way, where pilgrims prayed together and venerated the Blessed Sacrament at previously prepared altars.
Walkers stopped at the Anglican Cathedral Church of St Peter and St Paul, where a short service was held, before returning to St Marie’s Cathedral.
The Procession is a powerful, prayerful witness in the busy Sheffield streets.
