Colin Taylor, a parishioner at the Immaculate Conception Church in Rotherham, recently completed the Great North Run to raise funds for the Rotherham based homeless charity, Shiloh, and raised £600 in sponsorship.

Colin, who also helps as a volunteer, said, “This is a fantastic charity that does so much good for those people in our community who are in desperate need.  I am so pleased that I can contribute in a small way both as volunteer and by raising funds for them.  To raise £600 was more than I expected and I would like to thank everyone who sponsored me.”

Steve Wylie, the manager at Shiloh, said, “We survive thanks to the support of our volunteers and we appreciate everything they do.  We are also always on the lookout for more support.  If you think you may be able to help, please get in touch.”  Pictured above, Colin Taylor (on the right) presents his cheque to Shiloh Centre Manager, Steve Wylie.
