Colette Hammill joins the Hallam Diocese as Safeguarding Coordinator
Colette was previously employed by West Yorkshire Police for nine years, gaining a commendation for good work. During the last five years of her career, Colette worked within the Leeds District Safeguarding Unit covering Child and Adult Safeguarding. Colette was also a force advisor for matters of Honour Based Abuse and Forced Marriage.
Colette has an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Leeds and a foundation degree in Police Studies from the University of Huddersfield.
The Safeguarding department hosted a coffee morning on Thursday, 5 July, 10am-12pm at the Hallam Pastoral Centre, which was open to Parish Priests and Safeguarding Representatives throughout the Diocese. The event was an opportunity to meet the team and discuss any issues.
