This very special place, in the parish of St Paul’s, Cantley, is used for surgeries, meetings and referrals for the many people who need assistance. The Centre has been the recipient of several awards, much acclaim and is a source of relief and of help for those who use it.
The volunteers who work at the Centre come from the local community. They are of differing faiths or of none. All volunteers, though, are committed to serving those who are underprivileged, lonely or in need.
Visitors are welcomed, offered a hot drink, a chat and any advice they seek. They rarely go away without the desire to return.
For Cantley, the Neighbourhood Centre is Christianity in action.
