Beautiful Barlborough Hall School – the Preparatory School to Mount St Mary’s College near Sheffield – has been lit up with a huge rainbow in a show of solidarity during the coronavirus outbreak. The rainbow has become a sign of togetherness among children around the world and has come to represent hope and safety.
Barlborough Hall School Headteacher, Karen Keeton, together with her husband Chris and daughter Megan set about creating the enormous rainbow which they covered in fairy-lights and put above the main door of the Grade I listed building.
“The rainbow has been decorated with 201 lights all of which are shining brightly and each light represents every child who is a pupil here at Barlborough Hall School,” said Mrs Keeton.
“The clouds which sit at the edge of the rainbow represent the staff who are working as hard as ever to support all our pupils in these challenging time with many of them learning from home. Our family here at Barlborough Hall School is incredibly close and we want them to know that now, more than ever, we are supporting them as much as we possibly can.”
